To produce yoga products in the USA takes a lot of extra effort these days, finding raw materials has gotten very hard over the years as most of the American manufacturing has moved overseas leaving little or close to no materials to work with.
It would be very easy like most other companies and just buy a product from over seas manufacture’s catalogs, import it here, put it in a giant state of the art fulfillment center with thousands of other companies and say it is ours.
What The Yoga Warehouse has done to keep our manufacturing here, is get creative, which we have found to be a benefit to the environment at the same time. all our cotton fabric we use today is produced in the USA, we purchase large quantities of overruns of materials ordered form cotton mills that US companies order in large quantities, we buy the extra rolls of materials, this saves the materials from having to be regenerated back to fiber form and then re-spun into yarn, re-weave and re-dyed. Today all natural and manmade fibers never go to waste, they are recycled into other products, Today more and more companies are getting the right ideal about recycle renew and reuse.
Most of this Garment waste and textile leftovers are sent to Mexico to produce the blankets we use today in Yoga.
Today we buy cotton from three locations in the US, it is important that the cotton is as free from chemicals as possible, raw cotton is becoming harder and harder to locate in this country, we as consumers buy so much of our clothing from overseas manufactures that about 90% of cotton grown in North America (US, Canada and Mexico) is shipped raw overseas for production and then reshipped back as finished products. |
The Benefits of buying US materials, products produced and grown in North America

Canadian and American Buckwheat and Fax seed, is mostly organic, the reason for this is, the hardiness of the species, Buckwheat and fax seed grow in the upper plains states and lower Canadian plains Provinces in a very short gowning season, buckwheat and flax seed from overseas grows in a wetter climate and at a longer season allowing more chances for dieses and bug infestation leading to the use of pesticides, Also the protection we receive from the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) when using food grade products.

The Benefits of buying US materials, we know that each company has to follow the rules set fourth by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). What this means to you, the dyed cotton fabric will be safe for you and the natural and manmade dyes used will be safely discarded, not just poured down a drain or drained into the nearest river like some third world countries, buying and using food grade flax seed assures that it is safe for you.

Our Companies Carbon Foot Print
We continually work hard to lower our carbon foot print.
Instead of importing every item we sell, we buy as much materials as possible from suppliers who grow or manufacture here in the USA, this helps to save on our Earths limited resources, most yoga products sold today are made with materials made or grown in one country and then shipped to another country for manufacturing or assembly, and then reshipped to the final country for sale.
We now cut out two trips the materials need to make to be sold here in the USA.
